Planning For Success

The term "Ethos" according to Wikipedia "is a Greek word meaning "character" that is used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community, nation, or ideology. The Greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music to influence its hearer's emotions, behaviors, and even morals.[1] Early Greek stories of Orpheus exhibit this idea in a compelling way."

When paired with the term "academic" we are describing the beliefs and ideals of a school as reflected through its academics. Key levers that can impact student learning are instructional planning and regular observation and feedback.  Beginning with our Language Arts Student Learning Expectations we will work on developing a common lesson plan template including SMMART learning objectives.
